About SNCB PAC
Stamp NC Blue efforts made by 50+ teams, each made up of 10+ volunteers, sent two rounds of “get out the vote” postcards to 6,256 registered North Carolina Voters in the NCGA House Districts 1, 35, 63, 93, and 119 prior to the May 2018 primary election. Our friends at Indivisible FLIP NC looked at the voting records of those 6,256 voters and compared the 2014 and 2018 primary data. Voter turnout among these folks DOUBLED from 2014 to 2018. We aren’t so vain as to think Stamp NC Blue efforts were the only thing that made this happen, but we are pretty sure we played a significant role.
That information made us even more committed to our efforts for the November 2018 general election. A few of our Stamp NC Blue lead volunteers decided to form an Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee (PAC) so that we could raise money to advocate for partisan positions on our next rounds of postcards. Earlier this week, the North Carolina Board of Elections approved our paperwork - we are SNCB PAC - a group of concerned citizens in the state of North Carolina interested in progressive reform and breaking the super-majority in the NC General Assembly.
